Model Luciana Curtis, 47, spent 12 hours in captivity in the north of São Paulo along with her husband and 14-year-old daughter. The family was kidnapped last Wednesday (27) while leaving a restaurant, in Lapa, west of São Paulo.
According to information from the Civil Police, the couple was approached as they left the restaurant and taken to captivity in Brasilândia, in the north of the capital. With the family hostage at the scene, the criminals managed to transfer money from their bank accounts. See images of the captivity below:
The kidnappers fled after noticing the police approaching, and abandoned the model, her husband and daughter there on Thursday morning (28). During the escape, the family car was taken.
The Anti-Kidnapping Division of the Department of Strategic Police Operations (DAS-DOPE) is now analyzing security cameras from the place where the family was approached to try to locate the kidnappers. Until the last update, no one had been arrested.
In a statement, the Public Security Secretariat (SSP) reported that the police are committed to identifying and arresting those involved in the kidnapping. The incident was registered at the 3rd Police Station for the Suppression of Extortion with Restriction of the Victim’s Freedom, which investigates the facts. “Other details will be preserved to guarantee the autonomy of police work”, he adds.
Luciana Curtis is an international model and has starred in campaigns for brands such as Revlon and L’Oreal and fashion shows for Victoria’s Secret.
