Model fired by Elite agency for comparing Israel to Nazis

A model and her interior designer New York “fired” by her talent agency after posting anti-Israel messages on social media, comparing the country to Nazis.

Camilla Deterre, 32 — who was featured in Graydon Carter’s Air Mail news magazine this summer for her role in designing an upscale Chinatown restaurant — is no longer represented by Elite New York, according to a spokeswoman for the agency.

The group StopAntisemitism, which bills itself as the “leading US-based non-partisan organization fighting anti-Semitism,” posted screenshots of Deterre’s posts on Instagram.

One of the posts includes a side-by-side comparison between Israel and Nazi Germany. The post also includes the captions “Fk America” and “Fk Israel” as well as the hashtag #freepalestine.

A spokesperson for Elite New York confirmed to the New York Post that Deterre pulled out on Tuesday, though declined to say why.

The Post has reached out to Deterre, who has deleted her social media accounts, for comment.

According to various reports and internet profiles, Deterre is a Manhattan-born model who has worked at interior design firm Roman and Williams.

Deterre is also the daughter of Ana Opitz, who co-owned the now-defunct Pravda vodka bar in SoHo with Keith McNally.

McNally, owner of popular restaurants Balthazar and Pastis, sparked outrage earlier this month when he urged people to “listen to the other side” after the killing attack by Hamas on October 7. “The more absolutely disgusting the events, the greater the responsibility to listen to the other side,” McNally wrote in the caption of a photo he posted Monday on Instagram showing a barrage of Hamas rockets flying toward Israel.
