Model who ran over and killed young woman in Rio de Janeiro becomes defendant for embezzlement

The model Bruno Krupp and his partner, Bruno Monteiro Leite, became defendants for embezzlement this Tuesday (30), accused of scams that would total more than R$ 400 thousand in damages.

Both were denounced by the Public Ministry of Rio de Janeiro (MP-RJ) for allegedly deceiving victims with a fake travel agency, which would negotiate travel packages for accommodation at the Hotel Nacional, which is in the south of Rio.

The representation was received by Judge Luciana Fiala de Siqueira Carvalho, from the 31st Criminal Court. According to the MP-RJ, Krupp would pose as an intermediary, while Leite claimed to be the owner of the company, which would have reduced prices for “access to promotional prices”.

Victims made the payment directly into a Leite account, which made the reservation with “fraudulent cards owned by third parties”. These payments were denied by the card companies, because the real cardholders did not recognize the action.

Also according to the MP, the hotel manager stated that Krupp and Leite would also have stayed at the establishment on “several occasions”. In some of them, the card operators pointed out that the reservations were irregular.

Arrested for hit-and-run and death

Last Friday (26), the Justice maintained the preventive detention of Krupp for running over and killing 16-year-old João Gabriel Cardim Guimarães, on July 30 this year.

According to court records, he was driving a motorcycle around 10:50 pm when he ran over the teenager on Avenida Lucio Costa, Barra da Tijuca, in Rio de Janeiro. The young man was in a crosswalk.

Both were taken to Lourenço Jorge Hospital, but Guimarães could not resist his injuries and died on Sunday (31). Krupp had bruises and was detained at the health complex.

“In fact, in view of all the compilation, it is observed that the Defendant took the risk of causing the result, behold, he was driving a motorcycle without a license plate, at high speed (more than 150 km/h, on a road whose maximum speed limit is speed of 60km/h), without having a driver’s license, even after to have been caught in a blitz three days before the accident “, says part of the decision.

The model is also investigated for alleged rapes. More than 40 women reported, on social media, having been sexually abused by the influencer.
