The broadcast will be made on the organization’s YouTube channel and will show the end of the travel of the IM-2 Nova-C vehicle in Mons Mouton, a plateau near the South Lunar Pole.

The Athena module was launched aboard a Spacex Falcon rocket 9 on the night of Wednesday (26). The spacecraft took off from NASA’s Kennedy space center in Florida, United States.

The region is considered crucial for the current lunar space race, as scientists believe it is rich in water ice deposits, a resource that can be converted to breathable air, drinking water or even fuel for rockets.

Athena was built by Intuitive Machines, a company based in Houston who, so far, is the only one in the private sector on Earth to have a safe landing on the moon. Learn more about the mission.
