Members of the Senate Human Rights Commission and the Federal Chamber want the identification of everyone present at the crime scene, in addition to public agents suspected of failing to help Moïse Kabagambe, beaten to death in Rio de Janeiro. The charge must be included in the final report of the steps taken in Rio.
According to Carlos Veras (PT-CE), president of the Human Rights Commission in the Chamber of Deputies, the entirety of the images of the kiosk where Moïse was killed clearly show the presence of other people, in addition to the three men arrested for the attacks. This indicates, according to the parliamentarian, indications of failure to provide assistance.
“You can’t stop the process in the three who are in prison. All who are involved there, whether for the crime of omission, encouraging, in addition to those who committed the aggressions, need to be investigated”, demanded Veras.
This Monday (15), in an interview with CNN Brazilthe prosecutor in the Alexandre Murilo Graça case stated that the list of people who should be investigated includes three men who appear in the nearly four hours of recordings at the kiosk, in addition to four security agents, two military police officers and two civil guards, suspects. of not having acted to contain the aggressions.
In the most blunt case, a witness stated, in a statement to the police, that he asked two municipal guards for help to contain the aggressions against the Congolese and that they would have refused.
You have other crimes that may have happened there that are being investigated. We, from the beginning, are together with the police authority to be able to identify these other crimes and these other authors. We can speak of the omission of help, the sudden behavior of public agents who did not intervene, they did not act when they should have acted.
