Three young children were walking down a dark street in San Antonio on USA early Tuesday morning. When they met a police officer, they told him that “their mom is dead” and then led the authorities to their home, where the woman was found in the blood in the bathtub.
A police officer found the children, aged 4, 5 and 8, in the early hours of Tuesday, San Antonio Police Department officials told the Daily Mail.
The policeman approached the children, who were a few blocks away from their house – he asked them what they were doing outside at that time. “Mom is dead and we are looking for Dad’s house,” the children told police. “There is blood everywhere,” they added.
Police took the two youngest children to a store to eat something, while others went with the 8-year-old to the apartment. The 31-year-old mother found in the blood in the bathtub in serious condition. She was taken to hospital injured by knife in the legs and abdomen.
The woman refused to work with the authorities to find out what caused her serious injury, the publication reports. It is not clear whether they were caused by her or another person.
The children are now with their grandmother, according to the information.
