High Court of Podgorica announced, that the founder of Terraform Labs, Do Kwon, will be extradited to the United States of America, which is prosecuting him for criminal offenses in the field of financial transactions.
The decision to extradite Do Kwon to the United States came after the Court of Appeal ordered the High Court to decide whether the entrepreneur should be extradited to South Korea or the United States. Justice officials previously said the conditions for Do Kwon's extradition had been met and left it up to Justice Minister Andrei Milovich to decide which of the requesting countries he would prefer.
Do Kwon's defense attorney, lawyer Goran Rodic, previously told Montenegrin publication Pobjeda that his client should be extradited to South Korea rather than the United States.
However, Justice Minister Andrej Milovich explained that this was a political decision.
