The Podgorica High Court confirmed that there are no legal grounds preventing the extradition of the Terraform Labs co-founder to South Korea or the United States. The final decision on extradition must be made by the Balkan country's justice minister.

On Wednesday, April 10, the Podgorica High Court again decided to extradite Do Kwon. The ruling states that the court did not find legal contradictions that would prevent the extradition of the businessman “to Korea and the United States” and believes that all the requirements of national legislation on the extradition of the Terraform Labs co-founder suspected of fraud have been met.

The previous decision of the High Court of Podgorica on the extradition of the businessman was challenged by lawyers in the panel of the Court of Appeal of Montenegro. The appeal ruled that the Podgorica High Court's power was only to determine whether the legal requirements for extradition had been met. And he returned the case to the first instance for reconsideration. At the end of March, the co-founder of Terraform Labs was released from prison under supervision while a final decision is made.

The final decision on extradition rests with the Minister of Justice of Montenegro, Andrej Milovic, who has repeatedly stated his readiness to extradite Do Kwon to US authorities.

Earlier in the United States, absentee hearings on a complaint against Terraform Labs and its co-founder Do Kwon, who were found guilty of defrauding investors, were completed.
