More than 1.5 million doses of the vaccine do not appear in the Ministry of Health application

Due to the cyber-attack on the Ministry of Health website, doses of vaccines applied against Covid-19 still do not appear in the system or in the proof of vaccination of users of ConectSUS, the folder platform for issuing the vaccine passport. There are more than 1.5 million doses that are not included in the application, with information only from the Federal District and São Paulo. The state of Santa Catarina also has the difference in doses, but it was not possible to quantify it.

The information is from the survey of the CNN, made with all the states of the country. Of these, three confirmed the divergence of doses: São Paulo, Distrito Federal and Santa Catarina.

The state of São Paulo reported that about 1.4 million new vaccination records still need to be included in the system. According to the state folder, the records were sent when the federal system returned to normal operation, months after the hacker attack that affected the Ministry of Health’s database. Since the attack, 23 million doses have been administered in the state; of these, 1.4 million have not yet been included.

In Santa Catarina, the state health department confirmed that doses were applied – and that they are not yet included in ConectSUS. “However, it is not possible to count these cases,” she said in a statement. “When this occurs, the state’s recommendation is that the person looks for the vaccination site where the dose was applied to verify that the registration was carried out correctly in the national system”.

The Federal District reported that, as of April 4, there were 258,684 doses not registered in the Ministry of Health system.

The states of Pará and Pernambuco reported that the municipal health departments are responsible for filling in the data on vaccination in the official systems.

In a note, the Ministry of Health reported that “the federal platforms for registration, sending and dissemination of vaccine data against Covid-19 are in full operation”.

Also in the information sent to CNNthe folder said that “the Department of Informatics of the SUS (DataSUS) remains available to support states and municipalities that are encountering difficulties in sending this data, as it has been supporting since the restoration of the platforms”.
