The Government of São Paulo mobilized a large team to fight a forest fire at the Jataí Ecological Station, this Sunday (29).
According to the Civil Defense of SP, the operations began in the early hours of the day and will continue throughout Sunday.
In ground combat, they are involved 133 agents including members of the Civil Defense, firefighters, firefighters and volunteers.
The operation also has 42 vehiclessuch as water trucks, tractors and 4×4 trucks.
Power plants in the region also joined the task force, providing firefighters and support vehicles. Air mobilization includes 6 aircraft 4 planes and 2 helicopters.
According to Civil Defense, the number of agents and resources employed is double that used in the fires that hit the same season in 2020 and 2021.
