At least five people were killed and dozens more injured in a collision of more than 100 cars on an icy highway in Texas, USA. It is reported by NBC News.
Traffic on the highway is completely blocked, rescue services are working.

A spokesman for the Fort Worth Fire Department said 36 people were taken to hospitals with varying degrees of injury.
Rescuers had to use the “jaws of life” to cut through crumpled cars and pull out people trapped there.

Ice on the track was caused by freezing rain and sleet that had passed at night. The motorists who left in the morning lost control.
