More than 100 people are investigated in a scam involving the gypsy community in SP

Around 115 people are being investigated on suspicion of carrying out scams involving a gypsy community. The search and seizure warrants were carried out by agents from the State Department of Criminal Investigations (Deic) in the capital of São Paulo, Greater São Paulo, and in the interior of the state, this Wednesday (4).

Since the beginning of the investigations, police officers from the 2nd DIG Police Station blocked amounts reaching more than R$50 million, in addition to three luxury properties and 15 vehicles.

An amount of US$ 180 thousand, which is equivalent to just over R$ 1.087 million, R$ 15 thousand, five luxury cars and more than 200 pieces of jewelry were seized in the action carried out this Wednesday (4).

In addition, around 17 watches, four designer handbags and a simulacrum pistol were also collected by agents.

The seized assets and valuables can be used to compensate the victims for the losses caused to them.
