The official representative of KIA in the Russian market and the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Russian Federation announced a large-scale recall campaign, which covers more than 100 thousand cars of the Korean brand. This is due to a problem with the AIR BAG module.
A total of 105,405 Kia Rio, Soul and Cerato vehicles produced between 2013 and 2018 are subject to the recall. Recall vehicles may have an SRS malfunction light on the instrument panel due to an internal malfunction of the AIR BAG module. The manufacturer’s representatives offer to solve the problem by updating the software or, if necessary, by completely replacing the aforementioned module. All repairs will be carried out for the owners absolutely free of charge.
Representatives of KIA RUSSIA AND CIS LLC should inform the owners of recalled vehicles by mail or telephone in the near future, offering them to provide the vehicle to the nearest dealership for repair work.
