More than 11,000 Cadillac and Chevrolet SUVs recalled in Russia

GM Auto, the official manufacturer of Cadillac and Chevrolet in the Russian market, has launched a voluntary recall program in Russia. This was reported by the press service of the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart).

More than 11,000 Cadillac and Chevrolet SUVs recalled in Russia

The recall program covers more than 11,000 vehicles – a total of 11,158 Cadillac Escalade and Chevrolet Tahoe cars sold from 2007 to 2014. The reason for the recall was the possibility of incorrect operation of the front passenger airbag. Airbag squibs will be replaced on all vehicles.

Representatives of the manufacturer must inform, by mail or by phone, the owners of the vehicles subject to the recall about the need to take the vehicle to the nearest dealership for repair work.

At the same time, owners can independently determine whether their vehicle is subject to recall. To do this, you need to check the VIN code of the car on the Rosstandart website or a special service on the Auto.ru website.
