With the relaxation of rules against Covid-19 and the reopening of borders, the last months of 2021 were marked by gradual return of leisure and business travel. Currently, more than 150 countries around the world have open borders for the entry of Brazilians, with or without restrictions.
The data is from the KAYAK travel search engine’s Map of Constraints. The company also reveals that U.S e Spain, nations that keep the entry of travelers from Brazil free, have had a high number of searches for flights.
According to the platform, flight queries for Nova York had an increase of 155% for the end of the year compared to 2019. Madrid had a growth of 398% in searches for the time of New Year.
The Restrictions Map also points out that 70 countries are closed to the entry of Brazilian travelers, such as the Italy, Australia, New Zealand, China e Japan. Due to the stage of the pandemic, Israel e Morocco have announced in recent weeks the closing of their borders to all foreigners.
Rules for entry of travelers
Currently, Brazilians are only allowed to enter the United States upon presentation of proof of complete vaccination and negative result of the Covid-19 viral test carried out up to one day before the trip – or presenting documentation that proves the recovery of the virus infection in the 90’s days prior to boarding. For Spain, it is necessary to present a document that proves the complete vaccination schedule.
Over time, some rules changed and were updated in certain countries. THE France now requires all travelers to take PCR-type tests up to 48 hours before boarding. already the United Kingdom has stopped accepting antigen tests and asks newcomers to take a PCR test after disembarking and await the result in isolation.
In addition to these measures, the use of masks in some destinations is once again mandatory, including outdoors.
