More than 2.5 million vehicles are expected to leave the city of São Paulo during the long Easter holiday, between the 29th and 31st of this month, via the state's main highways. Thus, the State Transport Agency (Artesp) and the concessionaires that operate the roads will reinforce their operations.
The concessionaires' Operational Control Centers (CCOs) will have reinforced monitoring and operation of equipment for traffic inspection and support for users, such as CCTV cameras, variable message panels, call boxes (emergency telephones), Wi-Fi points, fi, meteorological stations and vehicle meters (SATs).
In addition, the number of ambulances, tow trucks, traffic inspectors and animal rescue agents will be increased. Currently, the State's concession highways have a network of more than 220 ambulances, 280 tow trucks and 200 User Assistance Service (SAU) stations and bases on the highways.
Concessionaires will also increase the number of workers at toll plazas and implement “queue busing”, in which payment will be made directly to the car to speed up service.
