More than 20 million consult BC website about “forgotten money” in banks

The new Central Bank website for the Values ​​Receivable System (SRV) has already had 20,561,481 CPFs and CNPJs consulted since it went live at 00:00 on Monday (14) until 12:00.

The SRV allows citizens and companies to consult “forgotten amounts” in bank accounts or other financial institutions.

The tool was previously launched on January 24, but the high demand made the BC suspend the consultations a day later. With the creation of an exclusive platform for the service, consultations were re-established this Monday (14).

At this first moment, the consumer will only be able to find out if he has resources in his name or that of his company forgotten in banks and financial institutions. Redemption can be made from March 7.

To carry out the initial consultation, it is necessary to inform the CPF or CNPJ and the date of birth, in the case of an individual, or the creation of the company, in the case of a legal entity. It is estimated that about R$ 8 billion of forgotten money, such as funds from current or savings accounts closed with available balance.
