More than 280 wounded have been evacuated to Egypt since the start of Israel’s war

A total of 284 injured patients have been evacuated to Egypt since Israel began attacks on Gaza following the Hamas offensive on October 7, according to the director of the Egyptian government’s press office, Ayman Walash.

He said 2,222 tonnes of medical aid had been delivered through the Rafah crossing, in addition to 6,063 tonnes of food, 4,625 tonnes of water and 1,407 tonnes of other aid.

Additionally, 378 tons of fuel have been delivered since November 21.

The number of foreigners and dual nationals who crossed the border through the Rafah crossing reached 7,730, according to the director, in addition to 1,102 Egyptians.

Agreement between Israel and Hamas

Israel and Hamas agreed, on Tuesday (21), to a four-day humanitarian pause to allow the release of at least 50 hostages, women and children, detained in Gaza.

The resolution also involves the release of 150 Palestinians held in Israeli prisons. The vast majority of prisoners listed as eligible for release are adolescent males between the ages of 16 and 18 — these people are children as defined by the United Nations.

Some of those listed are 14 years old, and around 33 are women who can also be released, according to the investigation. CNN.

No hostages will be released before this Friday (24), according to Israel’s National Security Council.

The start of a temporary truce in the fighting was also postponed until Friday, an Israeli official said. CNN.
