More than $ 350,000 raised for the Sirui 75mm F1.8 anamorphic lens in just one day

Targeting the movie enthusiast who appreciates the “cinematic” output of anamorphic lenses, Sirui has developed a 75mm focal length lens with a maximum aperture of f / 1.8. Fundraising for its release began yesterday on the Indiegogo platform. The high interest in the product is evidenced by the fact that more than 350,000 dollars were collected in just one day. The minimum deposit required to qualify for the lens is $ 669.

This is not Sirui’s first anamorphic lens. For example, in January there was a fundraising campaign for the Sirui 24mm F2.8. By the way, then for the first knocks more than $ 800,000 was collected. As then, in fact, there is a pre-sale of finished lenses, since the start date for the shipment is named in June of this year.

The optical design of the new lens, suitable for APS-C format cameras, includes 16 elements in 12 groups. Its aperture is formed by 13 blades and can range from f / 1.6 to f / 16. The minimum focusing distance is 1.2 m. It corresponds to a magnification of 1: 14.47 (vertical) and 1: 18.45 (horizontal). The anamorphic factor is 1.33x. The lens diameter is 73 mm, and the length, depending on the mount, ranges from 130.4 to 134.1 mm. Weight also depends on the mount and ranges from 795 g to 825 g. The lens is offered with mounts Canon EF-M, Nikon Z, Fujifilm X, Sony E and Micro Four Thirds. The lens is compatible with 67mm filters.
