More than 420 thousand doses of vaccines against Covid were applied in SP this Saturday

More than 420,000 doses of immunizations against Covid-19 were applied in the state of São Paulo until 7:50 pm this Saturday (5), when the “C Vaccination Day” was held. About 5,000 health facilities were open between 7 am and 7 pm.

According to the state government, of the 420,800 doses applied this Saturday, 187,100 were in children aged between 5 and 11 years, which represents just over 44.4% of the total.

Another 211,800 doses applied this Saturday were boosters, while 21,900 people who had delayed immunization completed their vaccination schedule with the second dose.

The State Department of Health reports that it has made available R$ 5.5 million in stages (daily) for health professionals in the municipalities so that they could open their units and have a complete team for the vaccination of the population.

More than 90% of the population of São Paulo has already received at least one dose and 80% is fully immunized with two doses.

In the city of São Paulo, 38,700 infant doses of the Covid-19 vaccine were administered this Saturday. According to the city hall, the city reached 62.6% vaccination coverage among children aged 5 to 11 years.
