More than 50% of Germans express dissatisfaction with Angela Merkel’s government management of his crisis coronavirus, despite the progress made in vaccinations, the easing of restrictions and the improvement of health indicators.
In a poll conducted by the YouGov Institute on behalf of the German News Agency (dpa), 24% of respondents said they were “very dissatisfied” and 30% “quite dissatisfied” with the government’s actions.
In contrast, only 6% say “very satisfied” and 35% “quite satisfied”. 5% did not answer, in the poll with the participation of 2,085 people, which was conducted between the 21st and the 24th of May.
In March, 65% of Germans expressed dissatisfaction with crisis management and only 30% said they were satisfied.
Only among supporters of the ruling conservative CDU / CSU coalition is satisfaction outweighed by dissatisfaction, at 62% compared to 36% in the last poll.
On the contrary, 84% of the supporters of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) indicates dissatisfied.
