More than 50% of Israelis have had both doses of the coronavirus vaccine

The Israel has given two doses of COVID-19 vaccine to more than half of its population of 9.3 million, a health official said today as part of a rapid vaccination campaign against the disease caused by the new coronavirus that has helped the country to start emerging from the closures imposed by the pandemic.

The distribution of the Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine against COVID-19 began in December and its availability has been extended to citizens over the age of 16.

Those who receive it are considered fully protected one week after receiving the second dose of the vaccine.
