More than 60 million people have already voted in the American elections

More than 60 million voters have already voted in the American elections in the 47 states and the District of Columbia, with less than a week to go until Election Day – November 5th –, according to data collected by CNN Edison Research and Catalist.

This represents about 38% of the approximately 158 million votes cast for president in 2020.

Ten states have already surpassed 50% of their 2020 vote total, led by Georgia, which surpassed two-thirds of its 2020 vote.

Catalist is a company that provides data, analytics and other services to Democrats, academics and nonprofit advocacy groups, including insights into who will vote before November.
