A woman, in Curitiba, is being investigated by the Civil Police for having scammed people, inside and outside the Paraná region. There were 70 police reports registered, but PC believes that the number of people who fell for the scam is higher.
Numerous people have reported being victims of the crime of embezzlement, which involves deceiving someone to obtain an advantage, mostly money. The scams were applied in a purchasing group, where participants received low offers compared to the market price. This agreement was made between the participants themselves, but they were not fulfilled.
In light of the complaints, the PC received information that there were some attempts to loot the goods that were still in the store of the person being investigated, they went to the location and seized some goods that were still there.
According to delegate Fabiano Oliveira, the investigation is in the initial phase, gathering information, therefore, it is believed that the victims may be in another state. Finally, the delegate highlights the importance of people keeping a record of the crimes committed against them, so that investigations can continue.
