The Civil Police of Minas Gerais (PCMG) incinerated, this Friday (25), more than 800 batches of drugs seized in various legal processes in the municipality of Mantena, eastern region of the state of Minas Gerais.
The incineration operation consists of narcotics from investigations that have already been completed and have been judicially authorized for destruction.
The destruction of the batches took place in a safe and planned structure, meeting the parameters established by Law 11,343/2006, which regulates the destruction of drugs in Brazil.
According to PCMG, the action was attended by members of the Public Ministry of Minas Gerais (MPMG) and Health Surveillance.
Delegate Iure da Mota, responsible for the operation, highlighted that the incineration represents a significant step in the fight against drug trafficking in the region.
“This action not only removes illicit substances that pose risks to the health and safety of the population, but also reaffirms PCMG’s commitment to strict compliance with court orders and the promotion of public order,” he said.
