A truck was seized with more than two tons of marijuana during a tactical patrol on the Régis Bittencourt highway, on Thursday (10).
The Federal Highway Police (PRF) was called after the team received information that a suspicious vehicle would be transporting drugs, towards São Paulo.
According to the Military Police, the vehicle was located parked in an area for trucks. Only the driver was found.
During the searches a load compartment was discovered with a large amount of sativa cannabis, a drug known as marijuana.
Investigations are still in progress. The driver, the truck and the material were seized and sent to the Miracatu Police District.
