Liberatum Brasil confirmed the participation of Morgan Freeman in this year’s edition of the festival, which will take place between November 3rd and 5th, in Salvador. The actor will be the guest of honor and cultural ambassador of the event and will receive honors for his career in cinema.
Iconic top model Naomi Campbell will come to Brazil to attend the event, which will also feature appearances by actress Taís Araújo, Alcione, one of Brazil’s greatest singers, rock star Debbie Harry, Oscar-nominated director and producer Lee Daniels, actor and filmmaker Lázaro Ramos, and visual artist Kehinde Wiley, among other names.
Liberatum Brasil will be an international platform to defend equality, diversity and inclusion. Expanding on Liberatum’s rich history of building meaningful multidisciplinary programs around the world with iconic talent and visionaries, Liberatum Brasil will host a festival of culture, awareness and creativity with a special focus on black culture. The festival will be open to the public free of charge. The festival’s schedule and line up will be released in the coming months.

The capital Salvador has the largest Afro-descendant population in the world outside of the African continent. More than 80% of Salvador’s population is of African origin.
With an eclectic program, Liberatum Brasil will occupy several locations in the city of Salvador.
Previous editions of the Festival Liberatum Global took place in Hong Kong, United States, Papua New Guinea, United Kingdom, Morocco, Italy, Turkey, Mexico, Spain, India, France, among others.
