Several Morgan Stanley investment funds continue to invest in bitcoin indirectly through the purchase of Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) shares.
The Morgan Stanley Insight Fund bought the majority of GBTC shares. The fund managers purchased 928,051 shares for $ 27.67 million. However, this is only 0.34% of the fund’s total capitalization. Considering that each GBTC share is now equal to 0.000939767 BTC, the Morgan Stanley Insight Fund has about 872 BTC at its disposal. Also, GBTC shares were bought by the Morgan Stanley Institutional Fund and Morgan Stanley Variable Insurance Fund.
In SEC filings, Morgan Stanley has just reported owning a large amount of Grayscale Bitcoin across multiple portfolios.
The largest of these appears to be 928,051 shares held by Morgan’s Insight Fund.
These are major disclosures.

And Morgan Stanley clients got access to investing in external funds for bitcoin back in April. These are products belonging to Galaxy Digital: Bitcoin Fund LP and Institutional Bitcoin Fund LP. Funds accept investments from $ 25,000.
Previously, the company Rothschild Investment Corp. was invested in GBTC shares. At the end of July, the company owned 141,405 shares of the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust, which, at the current exchange rate, is $ 6.2 million.
