Moscow advises Russians not to travel to Britain

Russia today advised its citizens not to go to Britain and announced that it was tightening the conditions for obtaining a Russian visa for the British, presenting these measures in response to the “unfriendly” actions of London.

“Due to the extremely unfriendly course (followed) by Britain towards our country and in order to avoid financial losses and other possible problems, we urge Russian citizens to avoid traveling to the United Kingdom,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Complaining about the difficulties the Russians are facing in obtaining a British visa, the ministry assures that it will do “the same to the British, until the situation normalizes”.

According to the same source, many Russians are protesting why obtaining a visa to enter the United Kingdom will become “virtually impossible”.

Russian diplomacy assured that the British side had explained that the long delays for the Russians were due to the fact that the Ukrainians’ files had priority due to the attack launched by Russia.

Moscow also notes that Russians face many difficulties in paying consular fees, as their bank cards are no longer valid due to sanctions.

Britain has had very difficult relations with Russia for years, but the country, especially London, is a favorite residence of the Russian elite.
