Russia has announced that it will not allow another 25 Americans, including the wife and daughter of US President Joe Biden, Jill and Ashley, to enter its territory, in retaliation for US sanctions.
The sanctions list also includes U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, other senators such as Charles Grassley, Kirsten Gilbrand and Susan Collins, and university professors such as Phineas.
The United States has imposed sanctions on members of Vladimir Putin’s family, most notably his two daughters, and the Russian president himself. President Biden has also been barred from entering Russia.
Westerners and Russians have been imposing sanctions on them for years, but the retaliatory measures they have taken have increased since Russia’s invasion of neighboring Ukraine.
The expulsion of diplomats, trade restrictions and the labeling of officials as undesirable officials on the other side are among the many measures imposed by one camp on another.
