Russia called the German ambassador to Moscow to denounce “the treatment of Russian journalists” in Germany, Russia’s state news agencies reported. Alexander Graf Lambsdorf, “the German ambassador was called to the Russian Foreign Ministry,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said. “He will be informed of retaliation in the pursuit of Russian journalists in Germany.” The German authorities refused in early June to extend the residence permit of Sergei Feokistov, head of the local media group of Rossia Segodnia, and he was told that he should abandon German territory until June 19th.
