Moscow reacted with ironic comments to the information in the international media about an impending “invasion” in Ukraine, according to which it was to take place at 03:00 in the early hours of Wednesday 16 February. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peshkov called on Ukrainians who believe in the issue to stay vigilant to see what happens.
“Better to set alarms at that time and see for themselves what will happen”Peshkov mocked in his statements to RIA Novosti shortly after midnight.
He gave this answer when was asked if Ukrainians can sleep peacefully or if they should worryaccording to RT.
His spokesman Vladimir Putin commented on reports in the Western media – mainly in British tabloids – that the Russia would “invade” Ukraine at 03:00 local time in the early hours of Wednesday. The media cited anonymous sources from US security officials.
Preceded the also ironic comment of Vladimir Putin, who reportedly wondered if the exact time of the “invasion” had been published in the Western press.
