“Motel Destino”: see the international repercussion of the Brazilian film at Cannes

The Brazilian film “Destination Motel” premiered at Cannes on Wednesday (22). The production participates in the main exhibition of the film festival and competes for the Palme d'Or.

The film is by the filmmaker Karim Aïnouz (“The Invisible Life” and “Praia do Futuro”) and is described as an erotic thriller, where the location on a roadside on the coast of Ceará that gives the film its name is the stage for dangerous games of desire, power and violence. One night, the arrival of young Heraldo definitively transforms the motel's daily life.
