The Civil Police of Mato Grosso are searching for cattle rancher Inês Gemilaki and doctor Bruno Gemilaki Dal Poz, identified as perpetrators of a double homicide committed yesterday (21), in the city of Peixoto de Azevedo, located more than 670 km from Cuiabá.
In addition to them, Inês' companion, identified as Marcio Ferreira Gonçalves, is also wanted for supporting criminal action.
This Monday (22), state authorities released posters with photos of the fugitives.
Yesterday afternoon, the suspects broke into a house during Sunday lunch. They shot three people. Two elderly people died and a priest was injured in the approach. He underwent surgery and remains hospitalized, but is not at risk of dying.
According to delegate Anna Paula Mariem, the suspect entered the house to shoot the property owner. The main target, however, was only hit by shrapnel. The fatal victims had no relationship with the perpetrator of the crime.
Still according to the delegate, Inês had rented the property from the owner, but left the place with debts, which generated a series of disagreements and a legal battle between the parties.
Yesterday, before committing the crime, the three wanted men were at the Peixoto de Azevedo Police Station to register a police report against the owner of the property.
Police forces from across the state are engaged in the search for the criminals, who fled after the attack.
