Mother’s Day weekend will start with sun and dry weather in the South and Southeast

The region South and most of the Southeast and Midwest will have sunny and dry weather this Saturday (7), the eve of Mother’s Day, with no forecast of rain, according to the weather . In the North and Northeast, the expectation is for rain, with an alert issued for ten capitals.

The forecast is for a cold morning, with formation of frost , in the mountainous region of Santa Catarina and on the border between São Paulo and Minas Gerais. Climatempo states that several places in the Santa Catarina mountain range must have a temperature of around 0ºC or less. In some areas of the South and Southeast the morning can be foggy, with impaired visibility.

Climatempo’s forecast is that the entire coast of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro will be subject to light or moderate rain, with the possibility of lightning on the coast of Espírito Santo.

“The northwest of Minas Gerais, the center and north of Goiás, the Federal District, the north and east of Mato Grosso have sun and rain showers in the afternoon and at night”, says the organization.

With the exception of the center and east of Acre and in Rondônia, the forecast is for many clouds, rain with lightning and some periods of improvement in the regions North and North East .

This Saturday, Climatempo issued an alert for the risk of heavy rain in Vitória, João Pessoa, Natal, Fortaleza, Teresina, São Luís, Manaus, Belém, Macapá, Boa Vista. There are also warnings for storms in the extreme south of Bahia, in the coastal strip from Pernambuco to Amapá, in Roraima and in the north and central-west of Amazonas.

Climatempo also recommends attention to moderate to heavy rain, with lightning and strong winds, in the south and east of Amazonas, in Pará, in the west and north of Tocantins, in the interior of Amapá and in parts of Maranhã, Piauí, Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte, Paraíba, Pernambuco and Bahia.

For the period from May 7 to 13, 2022, Climatempo says that “the trend of little or no rain remains in most areas of the South, Southeast, Midwest and the Northeast. Precipitation over Brazil will be concentrated in the North region”.
