MotoGP 21 released on PC and consoles: with new graphics, physics and weather

The market of racing simulators is quite saturated with fresh releases, but if you look in the direction of two-wheeled vehicles, everything is much worse there. There is almost no competition, large developers do not enter this territory, and the only known franchise is MotoGP, which today, on April 21, received a fresh 21 license plate. The race went straight to PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S. Moreover, the motorcycle race was even released on the Nintendo Switch, so the publisher, in fact, took over all the gaming platforms available on the market.

However, as with any racing simulator, you should not expect drastic changes from MotoGP 21. The developers almost did not touch the gameplay, which remained in the same form as in the previous parts, but the physics and graphics were slightly modified. The authors of the project promise that now motorcycles will feel better on the race track, and weather conditions will really affect the vehicle’s handling. In addition, tremendous work has been done to improve artificial intelligence, which will now punish the gamer for the slightest mistakes. Although, of course, the AI aggression can be configured for a comfortable ride.

The only striking innovation in MotoGP 21 will be a new system of penalties for players who like to drive “dirty” – for cutting off opponents you will need to go to a separate checkpoint, losing 3 seconds on each lap. They also promised to make the career mode more exciting, but no one radically changed it either, so you should not expect a plot or any unusual elements. This is, in fact, a typical representative of a sports simulator that comes out every year and has no serious competitors in the market.
