Motorcycle sales rose 13.8% in April compared to the same month last year, reaching 107,700 units.
In comparison with March, a month with more sales days, there was a 2.1% drop in the new motorcycle market, reported this Tuesday (3rd) Fenabrave, an association that represents dealerships.
Fuel inflation gave an additional boost to motorcycle sales, a more economical vehicle that was already on a steady recovery due to the expansion of delivery services and consumers’ search for individual transport in the pandemic.
In the first four months of the year, 382,500 motorcycles were sold in Brazil, which corresponds to an increase of 27.4% compared to the same period in 2021.
Clearly leader in this market, Honda accounted for 75.4% of all motorcycles sold in Brazil between January and April. Vice-leader, Yamaha was with 17.5%.
