Motorcycle sales had a significant increase of 76.8% in March compared to the volume of the same month last year, reaching 110,100 units. In comparison with February, there was a rise of 46.8% in the market for new motorcycles, reported this Tuesday (5th) Fenabrave, an association that represents dealerships.
In an unusual situation, last month more motorcycles than passenger cars were sold (108,200 units).
With the expansion of delivery services and consumers’ search for more affordable individual transport, the first quarter ended with a 33.7% growth in motorcycle sales.
In total, 274,800 units were sold in the first three months of the year, a performance that also reflects the recomposition of vehicle supply after restrictions of the pandemic that limited the production of motorcycle manufacturers at the beginning of last year.
