Motorcyclist has motorcycle seized after receiving R$12,000 in fines in 2024

During an approach carried out by the Municipal Guard of Vitória (ES), corporation agents found that the vehicle accumulated around R$12,000 in fine debts – all incurred this year. The vehicle was seized last Wednesday (13).

During a routine patrol in the Bento Ferreira neighborhood, a Municipal Guard team approached the motorcyclist due to excessive noise from the motorcycle. When checking the documentation, a series of incidents with the vehicle over the last 11 months was found.

“As soon as the team checked the motorcycle’s documentation, it was found that there was another R$12,000 in debt due to fines, all from this year. In other words, this driver had been committing several infractions, putting himself and other members of the traffic at risk. The driver did not even have a license to drive the vehicle”, explained Charles de Marchi, coordinator of the Operational Tactical Group (GTO).

If it wasn’t just the “fortune” in fines, the 20-year-old motorcyclist and app driver committed several traffic violations, such as driving without a car. driver’s license use your cell phone while driving and change the characteristics of the vehicle.

THE seizure of the motorcycle was carried out due to expired licensing. The driver was released after the appropriate citations. In addition to the debt in fines, the motorcyclist was held responsible for 11 more infractions, namely:

  • Use of prohibited equipment (strobe light)
  • Expired licensing
  • Driving without a driver’s license
  • Bent and unreadable sign
  • Exhaust change
  • Mandatory equipment in disagreement
  • Driving using a cell phone
  • Inappropriate footwear
  • Changed lighting system
  • Burnt lantern
  • Vehicle in poor condition
