A 20-year-old woman died last Monday (11) after being crushed by a bus during an attempt to overtake. The accident occurred in Itabira (MG), a city located almost 110 kilometers from Belo Horizonte.
According to the Fire Department, the young woman was driving a Honda Elite 125, with a Ribeirão das Neves (MG) license plate, when she tried to overtake the bus.
According to witness reports, the motorcyclist did not realize that the vehicle was making a left turn at the roundabout and began overtaking, at which point she ended up hitting the side of the vehicle.
With the impact, she ended up under the bus, which ended up passing with one of the rear wheels over the victim’s head. She suffered a crushed skull. The young woman would still have been dragged for a few meters until the vehicle came to a complete stop.
According to firefighters, the victim was from São Paulo and was a university student.
