Just a week after the presentation of the new flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor from Qualcomm, the first smartphone based on it appeared. Today, December 9, Motorola unveiled the Edge X30 smartphone, which comes in two versions – the Classic and the Special Edition with an invisible front camera. Also announced with him is the Edge S30 model powered by the Snapdragon 888+ chip.

Motorola Edge X30 is equipped with a 6.8-inch OLED-display with Full HD + resolution, the refresh rate is increased – 144 Hz. A high-quality 60-megapixel front-facing camera housed in a tiny hole is integrated into the panel with thin side bezels. Edge X30 Special Edition uses the same module, but this edition uses advanced sub-screen camera technology.
Both Edge X30 and Edge X30 Special Edition display support for 10-bit color depth and HDR + content.

Motorola Edge S30
The Motorola Edge S30 is a slightly more simplistic model with a plastic body instead of Gorilla Glass 5. It has a 6.8-inch IPS screen, last year’s 5nm Snapdragon 888+ processor and another triple camera system based on a 108MP sensor. The refresh rate is adaptive and can go from 48 Hz to 144 Hz, depending on the applications and processes that are running.
The front-facing camera in the Edge S30 is also in a circular notch inside the display, but has a resolution of 16 megapixels.
