Motorola was one of the first companies to release a foldable smartphone, but after the Moto Razr and the 5G version, the company has not announced any new foldable devices.
The World Intellectual Property Organization has confirmed that Motorola has received a patent for another foldable phone that is similar in size to the Moto Razr, but folds screen-out with the display wrapping around the body. When folded, you get a device with two screens.

The patent shows that a small island is left at the top of the phone for mounting the camera, which means that the bottom of the case will be shorter. The new device can be called a hybrid of Moto Razr and Royole Flexpai, which became the first commercial folding device.
The patented hinge will be a completely new solution that should minimize creases and allow the phone to fold without any gaps.

Of course, this design has a major drawback, which is the poor protection of the screen in any position.
