Call her if you want mototherapy. The ace of freestyle motocross Alvaro Dal Farra and the wheelchair Kart cross champion Mattia Cattapan revive the engines for the third edition of the solidarity caravan Mask to ride. A 3500km tour from the North to the South of Italy through 14 regions, until June 19, with breathtaking performances to bring joy, excitement and fun to the world of disability.
The initiative, born from an idea of ​​Nicola Barchet, a social entrepreneur, will touch Milan, on the afternoon of 7 June, with a show at the Niguarda spinal unit. At each stage the performances of Alvaro Dal Farra and Mattia Cattapan, wheelchair athlete champion of Kart cross and founder of Crossable. In an hour of show there are wheelies with the bike, drifting on the E-Motion – Drive, a special motocross adapted to wheelchair users, ramp jumps, stunts.
The idea was born in 2020 after the first lockdown with the aim of donating 50,000 masks and a moment of joy and sharing to those who had been hit hardest by the pandemic. This year the duo is back on track in the memory of the cycle-traveler Sara Rubatto who has recently disappeared. She had been told that, due to heart disease, she would not even run 20 meters and instead she has covered more than 10 thousand kilometers on a bicycle. Her spirit is the one that animates the internal initiative that aims to break down limits and stereotypes.
