MOUNJARO: See what Brazilians want to know about the medicine

With sales started this week, the MOUNJARO It is one of the most awaited drugs by Brazilians. The pen, developed by pharmacist Eli Lilly, is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and is considered the main competitor of Ozempic from the new Nordisk.

Some pharmacies even pre-sold of the product, such as the Drugstore Networks Pacheco and Drogaria São Paulo, from the DPSP Group. The monthly treatment starts from R $ 1,400, a valid amount for patients enrolled in Lilly better for you, Lilly’s patient support program.

Mounjaro was approved by the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) in Brazil in September 2023 for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. Since then, the expectation for the arrival of the drug to pharmacies was high.
