Among the restaurants, the ski season – which runs from the end of November to mid-April – always has good news for us. And this year, it couldn’t be different: animated houses and with kitchens that serve the best of Savoyard cuisine, that is, from the Savoy region – where Courchevel is located -, they open their doors to welcome us in a warm and lively way.

Sophistication, elegance, fun and, of course, lots of snow, define what to find at the top of the mountain. Next, check out three Unmissable news in Courchevel and region that should be on your radar.

Tip: before boarding, don’t forget your warm clothes, sunglasses, ski equipment and book in advance – the tables here are very popular!

La Ferme Saint-Amour

It is the new club-restaurant in the center of Courchevel 1850, a luxurious village on top of the mountain. Full of sophistication and well decorated, the La Ferme Saint-Amour stands out for its exceptional food and, as night falls, it becomes almost like a dance club. The party atmosphere takes over the restaurant, especially after 10pm, with dancers and lots of good music.

Among the options, the tip is to order the scallop carpaccio with yuzu vinaigrette and truffles for starters – it’s wonderful! The menu also includes burrata with local ham, pear and hazelnuts; grilled black cod marinated with miso and yuzu; and roasted chicken breast, chestnuts and gnocchi with truffles.

La Mangeoire Ski Club

After livening up the nights in the luxurious village of Courchevel 1850, the celebrated Nammos (which had a delicious chocolate mousse) gave way to the La Mangeoirea house that brings a new chef and decoration to the place, which has a menu inspired by Mediterranean cuisine with Asian touches.

The outdoor area is very lively, and where DJ’s and dancers guarantee fun for visitors. Before climbing into the chairs and mingling with the music, fill the table with appetizers and drinks, such as beef carpaccio or whole roast chicken for the main course.

And whoever thinks that the hustle ends when the sun goes down and the temperatures start to get even lower is wrong: the excitement moves to the indoor environment, which is rare here. Great to enjoy with friends!

Maya Altitude

O Maya Altitude it lies between Méribel and the village of Saint-Martin de Belleville, at 2,300 meters above sea level, and opens the door to its first winter season in the Alps. Specializing in aged meats, which mature for at least 21 days in special refrigerators, it has a short but efficient wine list. The menu includes slices of Pata Negra ham, charcoal-grilled duck foie gras served on toast with grated truffle, as well as cuts of calf, black angus and entrecôte.

With incredible views, the balcony is the most recommended spot to catch a glimpse of the snow-filled mountain top – weather permitting. The highlight is also its interior, well decorated and fun with inspirations from the mountains of the Himalayas and Tibet, with different environments from each other. As this year was the house’s first winter, the service and dishes are still adapting, but the place has everything to make the list of must-sees at Les Trois Vallées.
