Mourning in Israel: At least 44 dead in religious pilgrimage

At least 44 people were killed in the blasts Israel, after the giant trampling during pilgrimage of ultra-Orthodox Jews to Mount Meron on the night of Thursday to Friday, they reported an emergency center and sources close to a hospital in the French Agency.

“We have counted 38 dead on the spot, but we also have others (injured who ended up) in hospital,” said David Adom (MDA, the Israeli counterpart) of the Red Cross.

According to the APE-MPE, for its part the Ziv hospital, one of those where dozens of the more than 100 victims were treated, stated that it counts six dead, therefore the total number of people who lost their lives in the tragedy amounts to at least 44.
