The moving average of deaths from Covid-19, which considers the last seven days, increased by 69% in Brazil in a period of one month, according to data released this Thursday (14) by the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass). ).
On June 14, the floating indicator was 144. As of this Thursday, the moving index is at 244.
The increase is also seen in the average that considers contaminations. A month ago, the case rate was 39,331. Today the Conass panel reported that the indicator is at 54,633 — a growth of 38.9%.
These numbers allow the monitoring of the epidemiological situation without possible distortions caused by possible underreporting on weekends or problems in accessing the databases.
According to Conass data, Brazil recorded, in the last 24 hours, 297 deaths and 65,379 infections by the coronavirus.
With the update, the country has 674,779 fatalities and 33,142,158 cases of Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020.
