Brazil recorded 151 deaths from Covid-19 and 32,934 cases of the disease in the last 24 hours, according to data from the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass) released this Thursday (16).
With this, the moving average of deaths, which considers the last seven days, reached 151. This number represents an increase of 32.4% in one month. On May 16, the indicator was 114.
The moving average of cases was 40,550, a growth of 122% also in the period of one month.
These numbers allow monitoring of the country’s epidemiological situation without possible distortions caused by possible underreporting on weekends or problems in accessing databases.
Five states and the Federal District did not publish new updates due to technical problems in accessing the information base, so the same numbers as yesterday were kept. They are: Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Mato Grosso, Tocantins and Roraima and the DF.
With this, the country has reached 668,844 victims of the disease and 31,644,703 cases of Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic, in March 2020.
