Brazil recorded 133,563 cases of Covid-19 and 999 deaths from the disease in the last 24 hours. The data were released by the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass) this Wednesday (23).
With that, the country had a drop in the moving average of cases for the 14th consecutive day, reaching 98,872 – the lowest number since January 18.
The moving average of deaths is also starting to show signs of cooling and showed a drop for the third consecutive day, reaching 806, the lowest number since February 7.
Moving averages consider the average of the numbers recorded in the last seven days and serve to follow the pandemic numbers without any distortions caused by underreporting on weekends.
In all, since the beginning of the pandemic, the country has recorded 28,484,890 cases of Covid-19 and 646,419 deaths from the disease.
