Moving average of Covid cases is the highest since March 13

The moving average of Covid-19 cases, which considers the last seven days, rose again this Thursday (23), and has the highest index since March 13, according to data from the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass) .

Today the indicator reached 45,440. On March 13, the index was 45,680.

The mobile indicator of deaths, which is also on the rise, stood at 150 this Thursday. This number represents an increase of 54% in a month.

For comparison purposes, on May 23, the floating indicator that records deaths was at 97.

These numbers allow monitoring of the country’s epidemiological situation without possible distortions caused by possible underreporting on weekends or problems in accessing databases.

Only Mato Groso do Sul did not report new updates to Conass.

Also according to Conass updates, in the last 24 hours Brazil recorded 365 deaths and 72,049 infections by Covid-19.

With the update, the country reached 669,895 fatalities from the disease and 31,962,782 infections by the coronavirus.
